The Host
My specialty is eating like a hungry hungry hippo and I will eat your bread if you don’t finish it. Especially if it is Day of the Dead Bread. Some people call me fat but I think its cute.
Who doesn’t like to cuddle with a fatty?
I certainly don’t, so you better get your butt to the gym and start loosing weight cause those pounds aren’t gonna loose themselves.
But in all seriousness, I really enjoy music from artists from la Nueva Cancion movement and sones jarochos and huastecos as well as huapangos. What The Folk intends to appreciate these musical movements that have come to influence many artists/activist in our present day. I hope that interest in these musical histories will grow and influence many others such as the music has influenced farmers, students, professors, teachers, and everyday laborers.

Recently went travelling. Came across lots of people teaching english in Santiago. Also, fun ex-pat community of english teachers in YangShuo china. I can recommend both.

Great show Erika. I laughed out loud numerous times. Bear in mind I’m sat here with my earphones in, at a computer in an open plan office in london!
Superb last segment. I don’t know any of the artists you played but I loved the music. Thanks for posting the playlist - I will be investigating.
Looking forward to next week although it would be over stating it to call my spanish comprehension “basic”.
Have a good week.
